NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases Sports Medicine Research Fellowship 2016

The Division of Sports Medicine invites third and fourth-year medical students to apply for a one or two-year clinical research fellowship position at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a highly-motivated individual to strengthen their application for the Orthopaedic Residency Match. The research fellow will be expected to work on numerous projects with several investigators; therefore, excellent organizational and communication skills are paramount.

The fellows will be actively engaged in all facets of clinical research. They will work in conjunction with the attending physicians, sports medicine fellows, and residents, as well as two full time research coordinators. The Division of Sports Medicine has on average 75+ ongoing research projects at various stages of completion within it’s pipeline. This ensures a highly productive year for our research fellows. We expect each research fellow to complete numerous abstract and podium presentations, research papers, review articles, and surgical technique articles during their year.

In addition, the student will have the opportunity to audit courses related to clinical research duties and data analysis skills at the NYU School of Medicine.
