Cooper Orthopaedic Research Fellowship 2021-2022

The Cooper Bone & Joint Institute at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ is seeking a highly qualified individual for a one-year orthopaedic research fellowship position.  We encourage recent medical school graduates, or those who have completed 3rd year and are taking a gap year to do research,  who are interested in orthopaedic surgery to apply.

This position is under the guidance of the Institute’s orthopaedic residency director and orthopaedic oncologist, Tae Won B. Kim, MD.  Responsibilities include: creation of IRB protocols, collection and analysis of data, management of open studies and databases, & drafting and submission of manuscripts.  The goal of the fellow is to have a productive year in terms of scholarly activity and increased academic knowledge.  Through the fellow’s efforts and productivity, we anticipate that these activities can strengthen his/her application for the residency match.  Qualifications for the position include an extremely motivated individual with excellent organizational and communicational skills.  The individual must also be detail-oriented and have a strong academic record.
