The University of Minnesota Orthopaedic Trauma Research Fellowship will be available in June-July 2022. This is a benefits eligible, funded position working with Peter A. Cole, MD in the department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Regions Hospital, St. Paul, MN. The individual in this position will be working in-person-on-site.

This position focuses on orthopaedic trauma research, specializing in complex shoulder girdle and chest wall pathology as well as other key subspecialty themes. Additional emphasis is placed on the use of medical technology, 3D printing and patient reported outcomes in our research. The individual in this role will be responsible for initiating, researching, and publishing results from multiple simultaneous studies and will work as a primary member of a team to insure success.

 

The requirements for this position are those interested in taking a gap year between 3rd and 4th year of medical school or a medical school graduate with a desire to enter into orthopaedic surgery.
