Orthopedic Surgery Research Fellow paid position at The Guthrie Clinic 

The Guthrie Clinic, Robert Packer Hospital, Department of Orthopedic Surgery is accepting applications for a fully-funded one-year research fellowship position. The position is intended for a current medical student or graduate interested in a career in orthopedic surgery. The fellow will work under the direct mentorship of Dr. Burt Cagir MD (colorectal surgeon and Research Director Donald Guthrie Foundation) and Dr. Joseph Choi MD, PhD (orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder surgery). Responsibilities include study design, data collection, statistical analysis, abstract/manuscript writing, and IRB submission. Fellows will work closely with orthopedic surgery residents on existing projects as well as their own independent projects. Fellows have access to a full-time statistician. There are no clinical responsibilities. If desired, the fellows are able to rotate clinically on a variety of surgical services.
