Program Review

Staff / Faculty / Chairman
The chair is one of the leading experts in multiligamentous knee injuries. Great trauma faculty as well as everyone else. Everyone is approachable
Didactics / Teaching
Lots of teaching opportunities. Few didactics throughout the week on various topics
Operating Experience
Operating experience somewhat during your first year. Lots of trauma!
Clinic Experience
Everyone goes to clinic at least once or twice a week and more on specific rotaitons.
Research Opportunities
Research opportunities are there if you want them.
Residents
Residents are great. Close group of residents and lots of support.
Lifestyle
The residents work hard so lifestyle is what you make of it.
Location / Housing
Everything is Lexington is close. Lots of major stores and one great mall. Housing is pretty cheap.
Limitations
None that I can think of. Ranked 12th among academic healthcare institutions in the US.
Overall Rotation Experience / Conclusion
Great place to learn. Lots of trauma which is the basis of Ortho. Lots of other types of ortho such as Peds and Oncology as well.
