Program Review

Staff / Faculty / Chairman
enthusiastic attendings. all very good at their respective fields. allow residents to get involved and med students to a degree.
Didactics / Teaching
daily teaching among the residents, often ortho bullets questions. good fracture conference, very interactive among student, residents and attendings.
Operating Experience
excellent, lots of OR time with a good variety of cases, do have to drive to other sites occasionally.
Clinic Experience
limited, half day a week outpatient
Research Opportunities
didnt see much, but i would guess its there
Residents
very friendly, get along very well and work as a team. all very knowledgeable and 5th years were impressive.
Lifestyle
not bad for ortho, get 3 weekends a month off completely
Location / Housing
midwest town, very religious and politically conservative. cheap housing and OKC thunder a positive, but not much else to do
Limitations
location, but not much else.
Overall Rotation Experience / Conclusion
pretty good, had best lifestyle with all around variety of cases. wont get pelvis stuff, but still good variety of trauma with bread and butter ortho and tons of OR time. great place if you can deal with living in OKC

Qualification
