I tried doing a search for this, but didn't really see a good answer, but basically i'll have about 10-12 weeks free.
i'll be doing aways during that time, so to increase my chances should i go for more aways for shorter duration, or two solid months at two programs?

again, thanks in advance.

---its funny how when you're suppossed to be studying scenario's keep popping into your head; or maybe its just me---

i was urged that 2-3 week rotations are not advised for a couple reasons 1] its too short to get letter of recs 2]it's not enough time for them to get to know you well enough to say that they could work with you for the next 5 years. but i must admit that even after hearing this i am still tempted to do 2 or 3 week rotations.

I don't think i'll need letters from any of the aways. i would love to stay at my home program, but i will go away if i match, so i just want to increase my chances at other places. I figured that two weeks is better than just an interview, and that hopefully my strong letters from home are enough if to match somewhere.

thanks
