There are several programs out there with an optional/separate match track for research years. I think the point of this thread was to point out those programs where every spot is a 6 yr spot.

-UMass - 2/4 residents do 6-year track, positions filled outside the match
-Dartmouth - 2 residents do dartmouth institute clinical research year after PGY-2 or PGY-3
-Rochester - 6 year track with research year after PGY-1 i believe
-UCLA - I think 2 residents do 6 year research track (not sure?)
-Columbia - 2 different 6 year tracks both with year of research before intern year, one in trauma research and one in basic research

-Cleveland Clinic- optional research year between PGY-3 and PGY-4

-UMinn - clinician scientist program with 2 years of research after PGY-1, graduate in 7 years (apply during PGY-1)

-Mayo - can do "research track" with year of research as PGY2 and still graduate in 5 years

So are the programs that have a separate 6 year track more, less or equally as competative?
