I only have 1 interview so far:

West Virginia

Rejected from:

Georgetown
MUSC
UNC
Case Western
Ohio State

My Step 1 was a 231 and I have a 3.7, but no AOA. I feel like I have strong letters but for research I only had my undergrad honors thesis and a project that I'm currently working on. I'm really starting to get worried with all these rejections coming. I applied to around 50 programs...should I be looking for a back-up plan??

I honestly do not think that you need to worry at this point. How many rotations did you do? You should get interviews there. If you get rejected from those places, I would start sending out apps for some general surgery positions. I still think it is a bit early. Give it another week or 10 days.

Do the math...you've gotten 1 out of 6 so far. If you applied to 50 programs, that means you're on pace to get 8 of them, which is a decent number. Don't worry yet, still a long way to go.
