I think that would break the match agreement to name them at this time.

The NRMP website currently states (to me): "Congratulations! You are fully matched. Therefore, you do not have access to unfilled programs information."

This implies that those who have not matched do have access to unfilled program information.

Anybody know? I'm curious as well.

Anyone who the NRMP considers unmatched (whether you didn't match or withdrew from the match) has access to the unfilled programs list in a pdf. Went through this last year, so I'm assuming it is the same this year.

I would love to see the list if anybody doesnt mind posting it...assuming that posting it would not be breaking any NRMP rules. If it is breaking the NRMP rules then please do NOT post it for me.

Good luck to all the scramblers....don't give up the dream.

Yep, strange email -- conjoured feelings of rejection I haven't experienced in weeks. Reminiscent of the post-interview interview rejection letter Jeff sent out a couple weeks ago... Three cheers for the "congratulations" email sent yesterday.

Well, it must not be illegal to post it anymore since the list has popped up in a variety of places. I assume these programs have had no problem filling their quota by now! (except wayne state of course)

UCONN 1/4 unmatched
Wayne state 8/8 unmatched (as expected)
Albany 1/4 unmatched
Stony Brook 1/5 unmatched
Rochester research 1/1 unmatched
Hershey 2/3 unmatched
Hershey Research 1/1 unmatched
McGill (canada) 1/1 unmatched

p.s... I did not get that list from the NRMP or my school (just found it on the web), so I guess it should be considered gossip untill proven otherwise.

So what's the deal with Wayne State.
Are the faculty really pulling out?
Are they taking people outside of the match?
Is this the end of the 8 man/year program dynasty?
Is it true the suburban "Ortho Hospital" is a flop?
Rumor has it that this hospital is competing with Beaumont for "well-insured" patients and is getting SPANKED!!!

I will add my own version of the rumor... I met with a WSU medical student at one of my interviews, and they basically told me that the CEO of DMC (Detroit Medical Center) was constantly bumping heads with the Ortho department regarding the lucrative nature (or lack thereof) of the department's services, and he was finally able to convince the board to basically "cut ties" with the department. Therefore, the orthopaedic surgeon group contracted to run the program was pulling its services out of DMC, effectively shutting down the residency program and leaving 40 residents to find other programs to continue their training with.

Again, this came from a WSU student, and I'm not sure how near or far this is to the truth. I also heard from another WSU student during interviews that this had yet to happen, and it was all rumored to be in the works. Regardless, neither party's story involved the continued survival of the WSU program.
