Will those of you that have interviewed somewhere fill us in on the program and your experience? I don't start until this weekend, but I will fill you in on IU when I am done.

USC - very unlike what I'd been told by some people...already complying with the 80 hour rule. Just two interviews, 30 minutes each. Mainly they just ask the standard questions and try to get to know you a little bit. Also ask about what your "tie" to LA is. Like you really need a reason to live in 75 degree weather year-round

We didnt' get a chance to tour the peds hospital but LA county was cool. Lots of possibilities for learning pretty much everything you'll ever need. We also got to sit in on resident research presentations, many of which looking like they were publishable. Chairman is very gung-ho about the program and a resident advocate (pulls people off general surgery if they make you miss ortho conferences or scut too much).

Very impressive program. Definitely go check it out and don't necessarily believe some of the negative hype.
