Relax, it is still very early and Case Western has three different interview dates. They only sent one wave so far for the first day. No need to start stressing in October, this is a long process.

Wake Invitation for 11/14 only day this far with more invites to come over the next week per invite. There is dinner the night before. Everybody good luck it is coming for all of us.

The interview dates for JPS this year are 11/21, 12/5, 1/9, and 1/16

apparently another wave of case invites today for 11/22.

Mayo Clinic, Email offering Dec 6 interview date

Penn State (Hershey) via ERAS email this morning. Choice of 12/8 or 1/12 with a social event the night before.

Pitt - ERAS email today for interview 12/4 or 12/5

Case Western - email 10/6 & 10/10 - Interview: 11/22

JPS Fort Worth - email 10/9 - Interview: 11/21, 12/5, 1/9, 1/16

Mayo Clinic - email 10/15 - Interview: 12/6

Penn State Hershey - email 10/15 - Interview: 12/8, 1/12

Pitt - email 10/15 - Interview: 12/4, 12/5

Wake Forest - email 10/11 - Interview: 11/14

FYI: When I scheduled my interview I was told that the social will be in the middle, that is the night of 12/4.

The two interview dates thus far are 12/4 and 12/5.

Anyone else receive interviews for Mayo and Pitt? Know if invitations are rolling?

Did not apply to Mayo..so no idea. Here is what U Pitt sent out -

Congratulations: Your application has been reviewed by the selection
committee and they would like to invite you to interview for a residency
position with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, at the University of
Pittsburgh School of Medicine. You may choose between two possible interview
dates, Thursday December 4 or Friday December 5, 2008. Please respond to
Roberta Moenich no later than Thursday October 30, 2008, either by return
email or directly at 412-605-3262 with your date preference.

If at any point you find it necessary to cancel your interview please give us
a minimum of three weeks notice. Failure to do so will prompt a notification
to the dean of your medical school.

A confirmation letter will be sent to you after you have scheduled your
interview with further details about the interview day and a suggestion for
over night accommodations. We look forward to meeting you in December.

Does Mayo offer formal interviews to those who have rotated or is the rotation itself considered the interview?

This is anecdotal, but from what an upper classman told me last year was that Mayo interviews all rotators at the end of the rotation.

I didn't rotate there so can't say for sure but this is what I heard last year.

Senor.Frog is right. All rotators are interviewed at Mayo during their third and fourth weeks of the rotation.
