Hand, Upper Extremity, and Micro-vascular Fellowship
HotThe University of Maryland Medical Center, with the affiliated R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center and The University of Maryland Rehabilitation and Orthopaedic Institute, is pleased to offer a one year fellowship program in hand, upper extremity, and education and upper extremity reconstruction and limb salvage starting August 1, 2018. This fellowship is currently unaccredited, but an application for ACGME-accreditation will be submitted in the spring of 2018.
The training program will include comprehensive exposure to the upper limb that includes mangled hand and upper extremity trauma, free tissue transfer, pediatric and congenital hand, brachial plexus, and elective reconstruction of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. The program will also provide training in acute mangling upper extremity injury and associated complex skeletal and microsurgical reconstruction, as well as secondary reconstructive procedures.
