I heard this program looks favorably on you if you do a rotation there. Can anyone confirm this statement? Also, is there anyone on this forum that has either matched or know someone that matched there? What sort of credentials does one need to have (i.e. Step1, AOA status, Away Rotation, Research)? Thanks in advance. :roll smile:

They do take mostly rotators. When I was there they took a very active interest in getting to know their rotators. You spend a full month on the same service with the same residents and they ask you where you want to go, how you like NW, why chicago, etc. I met a few residents who did not rotate, but they were in the minortiy.

I've also heard what ortho2003 says. A guy from last year's class at my school had great boards and did a rotation out there but didn't even get an interview although he felt the rotation went pretty well. He said a lot of great things about the program including excellent faculty (esp. in sports), good biomechanics research, great location (right on michigan ave/lake front), and a reasonably good call schedule for an academic program.

I have heard that they only take rotators and rotating doesn't guarantee an interview.
