Got a quick question for the rejection files: conventional wisedom says that residencies consider you more strongly if you have a REASON to live/move there. HOwever, I am finding exactly the opposite (ie, went to school in VT, axed by UVM........grew up 5 minutes from Yale, and axed). Is this a theme?
BTW, word on the street, at least from our program director, is that this will be a landmark year for Ortho competitiveness, so its not that rejections will likely be even more plentiful than in years past (compensation and lifestyle).
