A GREAT resource for pediatric ortho is Rangâs Childrenâs Fractures, good basic book about pedi fractures. Mercer rangs origianal is fun too read, and simple. There is a revised edition of this book put out in 2005.
Mercer Rang also wrote a book entitled The Art and Practice of Children's Orthopaedics, very simple reading (not entirely accurate with treatments of today) and entertaining.
An AWESOME book for the OR is Atlas of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery by Morrissey. Great resource for relevant anatomy in the OR, its one of the best step by step books I own. A bit pricey for the med stud, but invaluable for the ortho resident doing his rotation.
Core Knowledge in Orthopedics: Pediatric Orthopaedics is a newer book by Dormans that covers just what is says!
