UTSW is very competitive. Fit is a major issue there. Also how hard you work, because you WILL work very hard. However, pretty much everyone there is smart, and everyone works hard, so it can be tough. But rotating there is a good idea. This year (2003-2004) there were like 30 rotators, and usually 4-5 out of the 6 residents a year are rotators. This year, I also heard that they interviewed like 60 nonrotators. So your odds are improved greatly if you rotate.
