I know that aways mean a lot in the ortho world. But there are so many good programs that you can't do an away everywhere. So I wanted to know how many of you matched at places where you didn't rotate? Was there anything that you felt helped or made a difference?

why don't you just change the name of your post to: "dr. levine, pretty please give me an interview even though i didn't rotate with you"?

forgive me if i am wrong, but this post seems a bit transparent. to answer the real question of the post WHICH HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SUBJECT, plenty of people out there matched at programs where they didn't rotate. good luck.

From the places I've rotated at, it seems to be about 50/50. That is, 50% residents were rotators, whereas the other half did not rotate at the program.

Of course there are exceptions, but this is just what I've seen (n=1)

I actually don't know how beneficial it would be to rotate at a heavy rotator program like Columbia. Of course unless you are the ideal superstar you'll probably just fit in with the other dozen co-rotators from what I heard. Didn't rotate through there so can't really give 1st hand exp.
