Just wanted to let everyone know that it IS possible to match with less than stellar board scores...
Medical School: middle tier western school
Step I: 214
Step II: 210 (released to all the programs I applied to, not sure why I did this)
AOA: hell no
Pubs: none, and minimal research
Honors: smattering of clinical honors
I managed to score some great Letters and did a ton of away rotations where I worked like a dog to make good impressions. I went to seven interviews and got my top choice! Congrats to everyone who got what they wanted.

Thank you for putting this one up....I am getting very sick of hearing everyone posting their numbers and asking "can I get in if I got a 240 on step 1" ??

The only way you are going to get in is if they want you....not because you did well on some multiple choice test....if it in your heart, then go for it

DocHolliday, could you post your numbers and things on the thread with the other match results? Doesn't really matter for now, but in the future I think people go back and search for the match results threads from years past and if you don't put it in there, they won't have a chance to hear your story and advice. A story like yours showing that it's about more than just scores is just what people go to the match results thread to see.

Same with the DO people as well...if we all get our information in one thread then people can search and find them later.

The one I'm referring to is the thread entitled, "2006 Match List"
