You joined this forum to say you like cereal? Nice
I wouldn't say I was obsessed. I used to powerlift, so hand strength was huge (hard to power clean 310+ w/o rocks for hands, deadlift for that matter, etc). I also was a thrower, so it was good to have strong wrists.
Since college and med school, not so much into the powerlifting, but I still like to work on grip. Kinda hard to bring a bench into class, but a gripper fits well into a pocket, and helps me focus (sometimes). Also, while it is awesome to have strong arms/back/legs/chest/etc, I think that the utility of stong distal arms/hands is the greatest. Think about how much you use them in construction, working on old trucks, opening jars, fixing sh1t in general. Plus, while I thought he could have always done better in the female department, Popeye was a childhood hero of mine.
The reason for asking this rather dumb question is that I have been noticing some changes, and thought I would double check to see if anyone thought this was bad. Like my hands are not as sensitive anymore (mostly from the callosus, though), and they are getting bigger. I have very little extension in my wrists (~ 60?, although I do stretch). While I don't think I am Lenny from Of Mice and Men, some rather, uhm epicine guys have not liked the handshake, while I was making a conscious effort to be gentle, . . . etc. If I was talking about my calves or neck, yeah this would be totally stupid. But the hand changes make me wonder whether I should tone it down. I know that there are size 9 gloves, but these are way too long, and problematic. I prefer them to loss of circulation, however.
So, I am still curious what you guys might have to say, excluding maybe breakfast preferences.
