Sorry I can't comment, but I thought I'd ask if anyone out there would mind throwing in a few words, b/c I'm interested in this same question.

UC Davis

I rotated there and really liked it...

I thought the biggest selling point was that the program had a great volume of patients and in the words of Dr. Rab, "it is a private hospital during the day and if feels like a county hospital at night."

The program really does have an impressive mix of patients and I thought the hospital staff work together very well (ie the ancillary staff are good, the hospital has money, and people treat each other with respect). I think the faculty that I met during my Sub-I are very dedicated to resident education. (Also, I believe there will always be a degree of change in the California ortho residency programs - largely because of salary).

If anyone has any specific questions, please feel free to PM me. I too am struggling with my final rank list and I will answer questions to the best I can.

Cheers,

i know the chair at Davis - Dr. DiCesare is an awesome guy and will take that program far. He is big on research and one of the premier adult recon guys in the country.
