Hey, I'm an M3 looking at possible rotation/residency locations and it's really hard finding any info on Colorado and Utah. I'd really appreciate any info from rotators, reseidents, students, or interviewees regarding their experience, impressions, pros/cons, etc. Especially if the Colorado program has changed any under the new chairman.
Thanks a lot

Just want to recycle this one as I am interested as well. I have heard (can't recall where) that Colorado is primadonna-ish. Please correct me if I heard wrong.
Thanks

Recycling one more time.

Have noticed that a couple of you have ranked Utah pretty high. Now that lists are in and all you have to do is stress until the 20th, releave tension by giving the scoop on these programs. How were the interviews, residents, attendings, schedule, facilities, specific pearls for aways there, etc.. thanks for any info!

By the way I heard Ut is building a new Orthopaedic center. true/false?

Docuw,

I can't say much about UC's program. I have met a guy from there on the trail this year and he was very lukewarm about his home program (UC). So, maybe there's something there.

Utah, on the other hand, I know quite a bit about and would be happy to tell you what I know, just not on a public thread. Feel free to PM me and give me your email address and I'll give you my lowdown.

Good luck

I can tell you from personal experience that the Colorado program has changed a lot over the past two years. Dr. D'Ambrosia has brought in many new faculty and all of the sub-specialty area are now covered. They are off of probation and all of the residents that I have worked with seem very happy. They have new hospitals at Denver Health and University. They are now following the 80 hour week and have time to enjoy Colorado.
