Man, I spent a month at Harvard, thought I made a good impression, got nothing but positive feedback, and then BAM!!, REJECTION!!
Talk about a kick in the gut...

Yeah, I second that... it's possible that you slipped throught the cracks. If not, sending an e-mail to get an explanation isn't necessarily a bad thing...

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. The same boat of complete and utter poopage. Having spent a month breaking my bum at Harvard and getting good feedback, I was pretty sure it would work out, at least in terms of getting an interview, but apparently I was all sorts of wrong... I would like to think I just slipped through the cracks, but I doubt it...

What junk! Sorry about that. How many aways did you and others do? I thought it pretty much guaranteed an interview if you got positive feedback. This whole thing pretty much sucks.

It's definitely not guaranteed at some places. I got rejected from one of the places I rotated at, where I was told (unprompted) by the residents on my team that I was "doing a really good job this month. we'll see you back for your interview".

I think we should make a list of places that don't interview all their rotators. It's too important a month to waste on a place that doesn't value a rotation

Utah rejection email 12/1 - And to think that I spent a month of my time busting my a$$ there. Well considering they want to be the Harvard of the west this will go right along with what people said about Harvard and rotating there. I wouldn't rotate there again, OBVIOUSLY.

If they want to be the harvard of the west, maybe they shouldn't interview on the same day as HSS (assuming they want top applicants).

by any chance, has anyone spoken with any of the residency coordinators at any of the following programs? are they done offering interviews?

- emory
- case western
- thomas jefferson
- wash u

i havent heard anything, and there seemingly hasnt been any new movement from these programs on the message boards.

also, i guess pitt just isnt sending out rejections this year?? it looks like they sent them out last year. is it that hard to just say "regrets?"

with a record over 6oo applications, i know i am getting rejected by cleveland clinic.

cleveland clinic rejection by email at unknown later date, but if i stop smoking i might still have a chance
