Although I haven't received any yet, I'm sure that we're all doomed to get a few. I thought it might be helpful to everyone to start this thread along with the invitation thread... a good way to tell these programs "GFY"

Hey bonehead59,

I feel ur frustration, I too do feel that there is too much emphasis on research. I'm going into Ortho to operate, not to be a lab rat. So what if u have minimal or no research?

The way I look at it is, if u don't want me because of my minimal research experience then ur not the program for me.

The faculty of the University of Louisville Department of Orthopaedic Surgery
have completed their review of the applications for residency positions for
2005-2006 and have extended invitations to interview to the applicants they
wish to consider further for the residency openings.

Thank you for your interest in our program, and we wish you luck in your
search for an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency position.

That is the most passive rejection I have ever gotten. If I suck say I suck. If I am getting a rejection, at least say it. Anyone know how to make this bleeding stop? This is like seven in a row.

It's bad enough that my truck was broken into yesterday while I was in the hospital (what a great class town Memphis is by the way), but MCG sent me through ERAS a rejection (standard form) with the title of interviews. BASTARDS!!
